Prominent Proposal by Simple Web Agency
Website proposal · Prepared for Jackie Meck, Prominent Technologies

You've spent 27 years keeping Jackson's technology running. Your website should show it.

You know the technology better than anyone. What the website needs is a designer's eye: a clear message, a modern look, and a layout that turns visitors into calls. That's the part I bring. You keep the servers. I'll make it look and read like a 27-year leader.

Today · prominenttech.com
Current Prominent Technologies homepage with a green 'Digital Transformation' slider
  • The headline ("Digital Transformation") doesn't say what you do, or who you do it for
  • Dated details: "20 years of service" and a 2022 copyright
  • DrawDown, your national product, isn't featured on the homepage
  • No contact form anywhere. Leads have to call or email
With a new site
  • Says exactly what Prominent does and who it serves in the first five seconds
  • Three clear paths: Software, Hosting, Consulting, plus a dedicated DrawDown page
  • Contact and "Request a DrawDown demo" forms that send leads straight to your inbox
  • A modern look that matches a 27-year technology leader

What I see as a designer

I went through every page with one question: does this site make a first-time visitor pick up the phone? Here's where the design and messaging are holding Prominent back.

0contact or lead forms
2022copyright year in the footer
20years of service the homepage claims (it's 27)
High impact

No way to send a message

There isn't a single form on the site, including the DrawDown page, where "Register or Request Information" is the main call to action. Visitors who won't pick up the phone just leave.

Fix: A short contact form on every page, and a DrawDown demo / pricing request form.
High impact

The homepage doesn't say what you do

"Digital Transformation, Powered by Trust, Excellence & Integrity" could be any company anywhere. Jackson, Mississippi, and your actual services don't appear above the fold.

Fix: A clear headline, your three services, and Jackson front and center.
High impact

DrawDown is hidden

Your DrawDown Board is used by hundreds of nonprofits, with real testimonials, but the homepage only links to it from the menu and footer. It's your best proof of what Prominent can build.

Fix: Feature DrawDown on the homepage with its own product page, sample boards and a demo request.
Medium

Out-of-date details

The homepage says "20 years of service" (it's been 27 since 1999), and the footer copyright reads 2022. Small things, but prospects notice them on a tech company's site.

Fix: Auto-updating year and current numbers.
Medium

The look feels a few years old

The slider hero, stock "binary code" background and mix of fonts read as an early-2010s template. A tech company's site is judged on how current it feels.

Fix: A modern layout and type system in your green and orange, with real substance in place of stock imagery.
Medium

Inside pages are thin

Consulting and Solutions are mostly lists of services with "contact us for pricing." Visitors don't see who you've helped, how you work, or why Prominent over a national provider.

Fix: Each service page tells a short story: the problem, how you solve it, and proof.

A few technical notes

You'll know exactly what to do with these. I noticed them along the way and will build the new site so they don't carry over.

  • Two H1s on the homepage ("Internet" and "Consulting"), none on Help Desk or Privacy
  • No alt text on any of the 6 homepage images
  • Two Google Analytics properties loading on every page
  • Footer logo links to prominent-tech.getpu6-liquidwebsites.com
  • Genesis theme and Divi Builder running side by side
Pick a direction

Three ways the new site could look

Each one keeps Prominent's green and orange. Tap any design to see the full page, and switch between them with the menu at the top.

OPTION 1

Trusted Partner

Clean and professional. Leads with 27 years in Jackson and three clear service paths, with Help Desk one click away for current clients.

See Option 1 →
OPTION 2

Clean Tech

Bright, light and modern. A live-looking systems dashboard up top says "we keep you running," with services first and DrawDown as one product among them.

See Option 2 →
OPTION 3

Modern Tech

Dark, sleek and current. Says "we're a technology company" at a glance, with sharp type and Prominent's orange as the accent.

See Option 3 →

These are mockup ideas, not final designs. Pages and features can be added or removed, and Prominent's logo and real content will be used in whichever direction you choose.

Who's building it

Simple Web Agency, right here in Jackson.

I'm Bobby D'Alessandro. I design websites and brands for local businesses, churches and nonprofits around the Jackson area.

You bring the technical depth. I bring the design: layout, copy, visual identity, and a site that turns visitors into calls. You handle the stack, and I make sure it looks and reads like the company you've built.
